It was only last September at Navigate 2025 that we laid out our vision for the future of identity security: Adaptive Identity. We declared that the old, static models are no longer enough. In a world of exploding AI, machine identities, and cloud-first strategies, a dynamic, real-time approach is an absolute necessity.

Since then, that vision has become a reality. The market has spoken, and leading enterprises are embracing this new paradigm. We have moved beyond the "what" and the "why" to deliver the "how," with a suite of powerful, integrated solutions. Today, we’re thrilled to share how the innovations we introduced are already helping organizations solve their most pressing identity challenges.

As a quick refresher, the shift to an adaptive model is a direct response to the shortcomings of legacy identity governance. Traditional, human-governed reviews are slow, creating dangerous security lags. Access is evaluated periodically, meaning risk can go undetected for months. This approach was simply not designed for an environment where a developer can spin up a new AI agent, grant it access to sensitive data, and decommission it in a matter of minutes.

Our Adaptive Identity framework addresses these business and security challenges:

  1. Real-Time Governance: Moving from periodic, after-the-fact reviews to a state of continuous, automated governance.
  2. Securing AI, Agents & Machines: Extending the principles of identity security to the burgeoning world of non-human identities.
  3. Universal & Dynamic Privilege: Eradicating standing privilege by providing Just-in-Time (JIT) access across all applications and environments.
  4. Integrated Threat Management: Correlating identity context with security signals to enable a faster, more intelligent response to threats.

Where the rubber meets the road: Delivering on the promise

A framework is only as good as the solutions that support it. That's why I'm so excited to announce a set of new capabilities.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Securing the entire non-human landscape: The rise of AI agents is a gamechanger, and we're ensuring you have the tools to govern them effectively. We’re rolling out new connectors to discover and govern AI agents from platforms like Microsoft 365 Co-Pilot and Google Gemini. At the same time, we're enhancing our lifecycle management capabilities for traditional machine accounts, giving you a single, unified approach to securing all non-human identities.
  • Actionable intelligence for Privilege: We're going beyond simply identifying privileged access. We are now automating the discovery and classification of privileged entitlements. By leveraging our Identity Graph in SailPoint Observability & Insights, we can create powerful, intuitive visualizations of not just direct privilege, but the complex and often hidden pathways that lead to it. This is a massive leap forward in understanding and mitigating privilege risk.
  • A simple, conversational experience: Let's be honest, requesting access has historically been a clunky and frustrating experience for business users. We're changing that. With our new Harbor Pilot Access Request Agent, we're transforming access requests into a simple, guided conversation. It's about making security intuitive and seamless for everyone.

This is how we're helping organizations turn the vision of Adaptive Identity into decisive action. It's about protecting every identity, everywhere, and enabling you to accelerate your business with confidence. We’re not just talking about the future of identity security - we’re leading it, and we're excited to be on this journey with you.
