We spent decades securing the 'who' in enterprise access, but the landscape has been completely upended. Today, the most critical actors accessing your data aren't just employees—they are the autonomous AI agents, API connections, and complex cloud workflows driving your business forward. Security isn't about boundaries anymore; it’s about context. If you can't verify exactly what an AI agent is doing and under what conditions, you aren't actually secure.

To address this shift, we are incredibly excited to announce SailPoint’s intent to acquire Entro, a trailblazing pioneer in non-human identity (NHI) security.

This is a massive milestone for our customers. This intended acquisition represents a highly strategic expansion that solidifies our leadership across all identity types: human, machine, and agent. Most importantly, it serves as a powerful accelerator for our vision of the future.

Building on the foundation: Taking SailPoint Agentic Fabric to the next level

When we recently launched SailPoint Agentic Fabric, we established a new paradigm for the industry. The Agentic Fabric delivered a much-needed foundation for securing autonomous AI agents and non-human identities at scale. It brought native discovery, governance, and protection to the forefront, giving organizations the tools they needed to embrace the AI era securely. Agentic Fabric is a phenomenal leap forward for our industry.

But we knew we couldn't stop there.

By bringing Entro’s powerful and complementary technology into the SailPoint platform, we believe this will take Agentic Fabric to the next level. We are giving our customers an even bigger competitive advantage by offering frictionless, holistic visibility into non-human identities. Crucially, this includes deep visibility into the specific context and credentials these identities use to access critical corporate data.

The three pillars of our combined future

Upon closing, Entro will bring additive, specialized capabilities that we believe will seamlessly integrate with SailPoint Agentic Fabric. Together, we will be addressing the unique challenges of the AI era through three core pillars:

  • Unrivaled discovery & NHI coverage
This unified capability brings frictionless visibility into the specific tools, APIs, and credentials used by AI agents and machine identities. This accelerates our native reach, bringing out-of-the-box coverage for over 1,000 NHI and agent types, plus the discovery of over 1,200 non-human identity types—such as keys, tokens, certificates, and credentials. Covering more than 70 critical enterprise sources across cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, and developer tools, we will be able to enforce even deeper, policy-driven governance over agent workflows and their operational boundaries.
  • Deep context & human ownership attribution
Discovering an identity is only step one; tying it back to human accountability is where the real security happens. Entro expands SailPoint’s reach into newly emerging categories of non-human identities, enriching discovered data with critical metadata to map exact relationships, permissions, usage, and potential "blast radius." This deep lineage mapping ensures the newest, most complex machine identities are inextricably tied to their human owners. Combined with SailPoint’s enterprise-grade access certification and lifecycle governance, customers are empowered to drive automated, closed-loop remediation and truly enforce zero-standing privileges.
  • Real-time detection & active protection
Once these identities are registered and governed, they require real-time protection. Leveraging proprietary Non-Human Identity Detection and Response (NHIDR™) capabilities, SailPoint customers will soon be able to continuously monitor AI agents and machine identities for behavioral anomalies as they happen. This enables organizations to expose over-privileged access, enforce least-privilege policies, and automate threat mitigation at machine speed.

Securing the AI-driven enterprise

These combined capabilities directly target the most pressing security, privacy, and compliance risks that IT and business leaders face when deploying AI agents today. Ultimately, this provides our customers with an unprecedented level of visibility, ownership attribution, and control.

We are transforming identity from a static compliance measure into a dynamic, real-time enabler of enterprise success. With the addition of Entro, SailPoint is further distancing itself from legacy approaches to deliver true, end-to-end identity security.

The future of identity is here, and it's built for the AI era.
