Access requests, reimagined: Less friction, cleaner governance, faster work
Most people who request access are everyday workers, not identity experts. They log in once in a while, need something to do their job, and want to get back to work quickly. When that process is confusing, they stall, submit the wrong thing, or call the helpdesk. That friction slows your business and adds work for your team.
SailPoint delivers a more intuitive access request experience, making it simpler for people to get the access they need. Resulting in a faster path to access, fewer helpdesk headaches, and operations that run more smoothly.
Built for every type of requester
Next generation Access Request is a reimagined request center experience designed to eliminate friction across the entire request flow, from finding the right access to getting approval and making changes along the way.
One unified search now spans every requestable item — roles, access profiles, entitlements, and applications — all in one place. Requesters type what they're after and find it, even when they don't know the exact name or type. They can search and filter across name, description, owner, application, privilege level, and the access model metadata your team already uses.
Requesting access on behalf of someone else gets the same treatment. Requesters can search across identity attributes, filter by details like job title or location, and pick the right person with confidence.
When a request needs additional context to move forward, the new experience provides simple prompts for the requester to provide start and end dates or to fill out structured forms with more specific information as needed. Requesters are prompted for exactly what's needed right then, not in a follow-up email.
The Harbor Pilot Access Request Agent is also now embedded directly in the Request Center to help make the request process as smooth and simple as possible. Requesters can describe what they need in plain language, refine the results interactively, and complete the entire request — including any required forms — without leaving the conversation.
Fewer tickets, faster access, less friction
What happens when your access request process becomes more simple? Your helpdesk handles fewer requests that should have been self-service. Managers can request access on behalf of their teams without IT involvement. Approvers get the context they need to say yes quickly and with confidence. The result: a transformative access request experience that works for everyone in your organization, from the occasional requester to the power user and saves everyone time along the way
As you continue to streamline your identity operations, the access request workflow is one of the highest-impact places to reduce overhead. When requesting access is easy, people move faster, productivity accelerates, your team spends less time explaining and micromanaging the process, and governance gets stronger because the right information flows through every request.
