5 Resources to Develop Your Identity Security Knowledge and Network

There’s never been a better time to be an identity security professional! We heard again from many of our customers and partners at Navigate 2022 about the importance of developing and expanding the identity security talent pool. That’s why at SailPoint, we are on a mission to build THE identity security community where identity security professionals can learn from each other and advance their careers while helping their businesses and the industry grow.
To achieve this mission, we recently announced that we had opened our Community for public access. Everyone who wants to learn about identity security and SailPoint can now register for a SailPoint Community account and gain access to all of our industry knowledge and experts. Security geeks, identity security job seekers, and even students and career switchers who want to explore a career in identity security are all welcome to join.
To get you started, we’ve put together a list of 5 resources that will help you develop your identity security knowledge and grow your professional network.
1) Watch Community Day and earn some SailPoint swag
As part of Navigate 2022, we hosted a virtual Community Day—a day dedicated to professional development and technical training. You can now find all eight sessions on-demand in the Community. Taking the Navigate 2022 Community Challenge can also score some SailPoint socks and a limited-edition Community Day badge.
2) Introduce yourself in the Community Welcome Forum
Get acquainted with other new members like you, and let us know what you are interested in learning. Our Community team is excited to help orient you with tips and resources. Hint: This is one of the activities to complete for the Navigate 2022 Community Challenge, so introduce yourself to get a head start toward earning some swag.
3) Join a User Group near you
Check out the User Group directory if you’d like to expand your network and meet other identity security professionals in your area or industry. You can also be notified of upcoming events by joining a User Group. We have several User Group events happening soon.

4) Attend a Product Talk or Crash Course
Check out our webinars to sharpen your skills. We host new educational webinars monthly, or you can peruse over 90 on-demand topics. In November, don’t miss our Product Talk covering the latest IdentityNow product enhancements recently announced at Navigate 2022. Or take a Crash Course on incorporating identity security with collaboration tools like Slack and Microsoft Teams.
5) Explore the IdentityNow Wiki
Find how-to’s and tips and tricks authored by community members and the SailPoint team. You can browse hundreds of articles covering IdentityNow. Simply use the labels on the right-hand side to navigate quickly to the topic you’re looking for—APIs, rules, best practices, and more.
