Back to the Future With SailPoint Predictive Identity™

As I witness my kids embark on their second term of online schooling, I see how improved technology and processes have helped them be resilient. Despite all of the changes, feeling prepared makes them feel confident to be agile, whether they continue their studies– at home or school. There’s a similar evolution with many organizations that recognized that they didn’t fully anticipate a significant pivot to support and protect a new virtual workforce but, despite that, have bolstered their security and compliance processes with better identity management and governance.

Back when the crisis first hit, many organizations without a sufficient identity strategy were caught on their heels and scrambled to get their newly remote workforce productive by granting access to critical business applications in a fire-and-forget manner. In many cases, this access has gone unchecked and perhaps may not ever be reviewed again in the future despite the constant change organizations continue to experience.

The transition to a mostly virtual workforce may not have been easy at first, just like many kids struggled when their classroom desks turned into dining room tables. Still, they were able to persevere while still maintaining productivity, security, and compliance.

Now that organizations have put their identity muscle through the workout of all workouts this past year, many are flexing this muscle more than ever, not only to just get through these times but to unleash newfound business agility and intelligence.

Our latest updates to the SailPoint Predictive Identity™ platform have played a key role in this evolution by giving the virtual workforce the access they need to critical applications when they need it, but stays on top of this access to make sure it is secure and is adjusted accordingly as roles change.

With Slack, Zoom and Teams now highly relied upon, and also a key threat target, you can securely provision and protect access to your crucial collaboration applications.

These latest SaaS updates, together with our AI-driven identity approach, adapt to organizational changes to secure access and ensure continued productivity across the business.

  • Role Validation – Ensure the roles that have been defined are still valid for the organization, that access to the roles is still appropriate, and demonstrate that the roles are being properly governed
  • Administrative Segmentation – Manage complex org structures by being able to segment or isolate admin control by department/BU ensuring admin access is secure and work-from-home risk is minimized
  • Increased connectivity for additional in-demand applications including Microsoft Teams and Jira, and to essential software like Epic for patient records
