SailPoint and Customers to Share Successes at Burton Group Catalyst Conference

AUSTIN, Texas, July 27, 2009 – Fueled by the urgency for global organizations to reduce corporate access vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with government regulations, SailPoint added several Fortune 500 customers in Q2 2009. In addition to growing its footprint in financial services and insurance, the company broadened into the fast food services, software, and transportation industries. SailPoint also announced a partnership to integrate identity governance capabilities with Cyber-Ark’s privileged account management tools and signed a new partnership with Logic Trends, an identity and access management consulting organization.

Also in Q2 2009, Cyber-Ark and SailPoint announced an integrated solution that bridges the gap between identity governance and privileged account management. The combined solution will better mitigate critical security risks like insider threats and will improve a company’s ability to meet stringent audit and compliance requirements versus stand-alone point solutions. SailPoint customers can now use IdentityIQ to monitor and manage privileged accounts across the enterprise, and demonstrate that proper controls are in place as required by IT audits. Further, by incorporating data on privileged accounts from Cyber-Ark’s Privileged Identity Management Suite into SailPoint’s identity risk model, managers gain better insights into corporate risk exposure from user access controls.

In various sessions at this week’s Burton Group Catalyst Conference in San Diego, SailPoint and its customers will discuss how they’ve successfully used IdentityIQ to control access vulnerabilities and meet compliance requirements. SailPoint’s CEO Mark McClain will join Burton Group’s Bob Blakley, research director, in the vendor lightning round, “Roles in the Real World: What Works.” Mark will highlight how some of SailPoint’s marquee customers are benefiting from their identity governance implementations. Additionally, a SailPoint customer will present a real-world case study, revealing how the company is evolving its existing identity management programs beyond automated provisioning to include access certification and enterprise role management.
