Company’s Strong Financial Performance and Growing Customer Base Help Position SailPoint as a “Company to Watch”
AUSTIN, June 20, 2011 – Building on the worldwide success of its identity governance solution, IdentityIQ, SailPoint was recently honored for its entrepreneurial growth, technology innovation, and strong management team. The company was named a finalist for the “2011 Red Herring 100” list and cofounders Mark McClain and Kevin Cunningham were named finalists in the prestigious Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year” program. Both awards place a premium on financial performance and customer traction, and recognize innovative emerging leaders in their respective industries.
“2011 has already been a banner year for SailPoint due to new and expanding global customer implementations,” said Kevin Cunningham, president and cofounder of SailPoint. “We’ve built a strong financial foundation for the company, which allows us to continue product innovation while maintaining a world-class global team. Our financial strength ensures that we have the resources necessary to support both our broad partner network and our global customer base. We love receiving industry accolades, particularly those that help benchmark our corporate successes in the industry.”
In each of the last four years, SailPoint has more than doubled its customer bookings with Global 2000 companies. These companies are using SailPoint IdentityIQ to securely and compliantly manage their identity and access privileges because of its ability to address deployments with 100,000’s of users, 1000’s of applications, and fine-grained entitlements that easily number in the millions. SailPoint invests significant resources in customer success, partnering with customers throughout the implementation process and beyond. This ongoing support helped ensure that a key SailPoint customer exceeded its business goals and as a result, recently won the “Best Identity Governance Deployment” award from Info Security Products Guide.
To support SailPoint’s growth and the increasing demand for its identity management software, the company has grown its headcount by more than 25 percent so far this year, including a new CFO, Cameron McMartin. McMartin is charged with helping set the stage for the company’s next phase by maximizing revenue growth and driving profitability. SailPoint also opened a Center of Excellence in Amsterdam, which joins SailPoint offices in the UK and Pune, India, to support customer and partner successes internationally. In addition, the company added new partners across Europe including: Compfort, Cortego, Everett, IT Concepts and SIA.
“We have always believed that our success is tied directly to our customer successes, and we remain 100 percent focused on ensuring they continue to see value from their growing identity governance deployments,” continued Cunningham. “Several of our largest customers are rapidly expanding their projects globally, and are realizing that the scope of applications and entitlements under management require significantly higher scalability than other identity management disciplines. SailPoint’s largest single deployment is managing more than 40 million entitlements from 200,000 managed identities across 400 applications. To put the scale of that deployment in context, it represents more than half of the entitlements a competitor claims across its entire customer base. These are exciting challenges for our team to address and illustrate that SailPoint’s growth comes from new and existing customers.”
The Austin Business Journal also recently recognized SailPoint for its growth and momentum, naming the company the “Best Place to Work” in Austin, based on employee sentiment, and one of 2011’s “Top 25 Software Developers,” based on size and revenue.
SailPoint, a leader in identity management, helps the world’s largest organizations to mitigate risk, reduce IT costs and ensure compliance.
