SailPoint Adds GM of Europe to Support International Growth

AUSTIN and LONDON, 16 March 2015 – SailPoint, the leader in identity and access management (IAM), today announced Jon Burghart has joined the company as GM of EMEA. Burghart brings extensive experience and success in leading high-performing, technology teams across Europe, and will help grow the company’s presence across the continent. With 40% of SailPoint’s customer base in Europe and more than 50 employees across the region, he will work closely with SailPoint leaders focused on client and partner services to help ensure the company’s success across Europe.

In the last year, KuppingerCole named SailPoint an overall market leader in three of its Leadership Compass reports, which provide in-depth analysis of the IAM market across Europe: “Leadership Compass: Cloud IAM/IAG,” “Leadership Compass: Provisioning,” and “Leadership Compass: Access Governance.” In fact, according to KuppingerCole, “SailPoint IdentityIQ is among the products that should be included in shortlists and evaluations.” The analyst firm also pointed out that with the IAM-as-a-service offering, IdentityNow, “SailPoint has created a product that provides a cloud-specific approach, build from scratch, which leverages the company’s extensive expertise in IAM.”

Burghart has more than 20 years of leading organizations in the execution of strategic growth plans and scaling teams in fast-paced, high-growth business environments across continental Europe and international geographies, with both enterprise software and SaaS companies. Most recently, he led a pan-EMEA sales team for the Fraud Intelligence Division of RSA where he continuously surpassed his fiscal year goals. Prior to RSA, Burghart spent more than eight years at Experian leading the authentication sales and marketing functions across EMEA, making his business unit the highest growth organization in the company for three consecutive years. Prior to Experian, he held various sales management and leadership roles with Inktomi and IBM Software Group.
