Landing the Identity Governance ‘Triple Crown’

Innovation is ingrained in our DNA as we constantly look for new and interesting ways to help our customers solve their identity challenges. We spend a lot of time with our customers to better understand their needs so we can deliver the identity solutions they require to address the evolving identity landscape. This is a big reason that we consistently maintain a 95%+ renewal rating with our customers.

We also spend a lot of time speaking with the industry analyst community, who spend time with customers, prospects and other vendors in our market.  One such firm, KuppingerCole, recently put out three different reports analyzing varying aspects of the identity governance market – two reports focused on identity governance delivered from the data center and the third report focused on identity governance delivered from the cloud.  Across all three reports, SailPoint was honored as the leader.

A primary reason for achieving that leadership status across all three reports is due to our long-term commitment to innovating and evolving our open identity platform. According to the KuppingerCole Leadership Compass for Identity Provisioning report, “SailPoint has made strategic personnel and technology investments in the identity provisioning market that have accelerated the capabilities of their flagship product, IdentityIQ.”  This may be why, according to the KuppingerCole Leadership Compass for Access Governance & Intelligence, “SailPoint [is] one of the most evaluated vendors for access governance.”

Our consistent leadership ranking across these reports validates our commitment to giving customers the freedom of choice in how they consume identity governance. For organizations who are cloud-first, KuppingerCole’s Leadership Compass for IDaaS B2E says: “With IdentityNow, SailPoint is well-positioned for the emerging demand of both pure-play IDaaS deployments and integrated delivery for hybrid environments.” But for many organizations, a traditional on-premises solution is the desired delivery mechanism. Others are seeking the richness of an on-premises solution, but don’t want to run it in their own data center – which is why we’ve invested in hosted MSP offerings. Our strategy is to deliver on the full spectrum of customer deployment options and to be a leader in each of those options.

At the end of the day, it’s not what we say to the analysts, but rather what they hear from our customers themselves that matters.  So, while we are grateful for this recognition by KuppingerCole, it also serves as a reminder that there is always more that can be done to continue to shape this industry. Our commitment to our customers is why SailPoint continues to push the boundaries in identity innovation, facing the next frontiers in identity head-on, all done to ensure our customers are on the right path towards identity excellence.
