The University of Reading, in England, is an international, public university founded in the late 1800s. The university consists of three academic faculties, a graduate school and the Henley Business School.
The University of Reading needed to update their semi-manual identity program. Establishing access for users was inconsistent and took considerable time, so the university was ready to streamline access and create more convenient processes for students, associate (guest) users and staff by building a dynamic and automated identity program.
The University of Reading leveraged SailPoint’s identity platform to reduce time to access from four days to 24 hours, and mitigated risk by automatically removing access immediately following termination of employees. Faster access to core applications and data has drastically improved their staff and student’s IT experience.
