The Power of User Access Control

PwC, one of the world’s leading global professional services firms, needed full visibility across all 275,000 users, specifically in identifying and managing stale accounts, recertifying users and managing privileged access.

The Process:

With hundreds of thousands of users across dozens of geographies, the implementation included building a robust identity governance program.

Goals:
  • Gain visibility across the entire IT infrastructure
  • Increase control over user access
  • Reduce the attack surface
How Identity
Helped:

After implementing SailPoint, PwC now has much-improved visibility across all user access. They can proactively provide reports on dormant and inactive accounts and have cleaned up orphaned privileged groups. Perhaps the biggest result is that they’ve transformed a formerly manual identity management process into an automated one, saving both time and money on once cumbersome processes.

PwC now has an automated periodic review process for user access control in place which has reduced manual process steps by 50%, resulting in seven months of successful certifications performed on the CyberArk platform
