Earlier this month, the SailPoint team was in Amsterdam to host our autumn European User Group meeting. Despite cool, rainy weather (typical Amsterdam!), attendance was great this year. Our group included representatives from 7 countries, in industries spanning banking, investment services, insurance, manufacturing, government, and gaming.
We had great feedback and information exchange during the day-long session, discussing our latest IdentityIQ 6.2 release, longer-term product roadmap, and common issues and best practices. We built in plenty of time for customers to network with each other during the breaks and dinner on Thursday night. Two customers, the Dutch Ministry of Defense and IDS, presented case studies, which were very well received by the group. We ended the day with a discussion session that covered practical implementation questions submitted by our customers. This was considered very useful by the attendees, touching on topics such as customization vs. configuration; getting business support for IAM projects; transitioning from deployment to operations; and end user training options.
For the SailPoint team, these User Group meetings are invaluable because they allow more of the SailPoint team to get to know our clients personally and to hear directly about their business priorities, requirements, and concerns. We hope to see more of you at future regional meetings and, of course, at Navigate ’14 – coming up April 28-30, 2014.
