Role Creation
Creating an enterprise role model requires the participation of both business and technical staff. The two groups must collaborate to accurately capture organizational or business process models which map to technical entitlements in the IT environment. Without automated tools, this process can be a complex, time-intensive project that takes months, or even years, to complete.
IdentityIQ Role Manager speeds the process of role model creation and facilitates collaboration between IT and business groups, providing a variety of tools for discovering and defining roles.

Simplify Business Role Creation with a Powerful, Flexible Approach
IdentityIQ Role Manager drastically reduces the time it takes to define roles by automating the process of grouping fine-grained entitlements into logical roles. Taking a flexible, yet pragmatic approach to role creation, Role Manager supports both top-down and bottom-up role mining. The solution mines business/organizational roles from HR data and populates the Business Modeler with candidate roles. Once these roles are established, they serve as containers for bottom-up IT entitlement mining. Business and IT users can select the entitlements that should be assigned to a business role based on role analytics and defined thresholds.
Leveraging a variety of tools for defining or modifying business roles, IdentityIQ captures the business context required to manage identity compliance and simplify user administration. By supporting flexible role types, Role Manager allows users to create very simple or very complex role models based on their needs.
