SailPoint Closes Strongest Quarter to Date, Signs Largest Enterprise Customer

Demand for Compliance and Security Remains Strong Despite Tightened Budgets

AUSTIN, TX, October 28, 2009 – SailPoint today announced it recently closed the strongest quarter in the company's history, adding a record number of new Global 1000 companies to its growing customer roster. With the addition of these new customers across North America, Asia-Pacific and Europe, SailPoint has doubled its existing customer base in just three quarters. In addition, the company signed its largest enterprise customer, who will deploy SailPoint IdentityIQ™ to manage more than 5,000 applications and over 300,000 users.

One of SailPoint's newest customers, BNSF Railway Company, operator of one of the largest North American rail networks, selected SailPoint IdentityIQ for enterprise role management. "By using roles to request, approve and certify user access privileges, BNSF will be able to simplify its user administration and compliance processes," said Bart Boudreaux, director, Technology Services at BNSF. "SailPoint IdentityIQ will allow us to enforce and verify role-based access across our critical enterprise applications using a streamlined, automated approach."

Demand for SailPoint's core IdentityIQ product was strong across all geographies. In fact, two top international banks in continental Europe and Australia recently selected IdentityIQ to address security and compliance requirements and streamline their user access request process. There was also significant demand for the company's 30-Day Risk Assessment offering, originally announced in July. The assessment, conducted by SailPoint's Alliance Network partners, consolidates identity data across target applications and identifies areas of risk for remediation.
