Frost & Sullivan’s 2008 Identity Management Innovation Award Recognizes SailPoint IdentityIQ for Risk-based Approach to Identity Governance

Austin, Texas, Sept. 16, 2008 – Frost & Sullivan has named SailPoint Technologies as the recipient of its 2008 North American Identity Management Technology Innovation of the Year award. The Frost & Sullivan's Technology Innovation Award honors a company expected to bring significant contributions to the industry in terms of adoption, change, and competitive posture. SailPoint was recognized for its innovative approach to developing an identity management solution that efficiently addresses regulatory compliance issues.

According to Frost & Sullivan, "SailPoint's IdentityIQ represents a comprehensive identity risk management solution that leverages a business intelligence approach to quantify risk associated with users and processes. Most identity management solutions do not take into consideration business roles and workflow requirements. SailPoint's IdentityIQ 3.0 is an identity governance solution that uses "identity intelligence" – advanced data mining and analytics – to give enterprises the business insights needed to monitor and control user access across departments, business units and geographies. The product combines business roles and policies with technical data mined from across the IT environment, providing meaningful, business-relevant identity information in easy-to-read reports and dashboards.
