The Data Breach Battle
The 2011 SailPoint Market Pulse Survey of adults in the United States, Great Britain and Australia was designed to evaluate the current state of identity governance from an employee's perspective and the overall impact of security breaches from a consumer's perspective.
In the first part of the survey, SailPoint examined employee compliance with corporate policy related to private, sensitive data to help identify weak links in IT risk mitigation programs. The second part of the survey, examined the impact of a security breach on consumer loyalty to bank, credit card companies and retailers as well as the move to electronic medical records by healthcare organizations.
